The heart of a Christian woman can be likened to a flourishing garden, where beautiful things grow, and fragrance, color and stunning creativity are given full sway, that is, if the ground is fertile and lush and the plants are healthy and appropriate to the area. On the other hand, a woman’s heart can also be damaged beyond description, so that it looks more like abandoned ruin in a desert, growing nothing but weeds. How easily hopeful plans can go awry, leaving previously well-adjusted godly women emotionally devastated, bearing more than any human should ever have to deal with. In fact, if they live long enough, most women suffer from heartbreak of one kind or another that can break the spirit and even ruin their health, stealing their joy and often deferring hope of relief from any direction.
